At CONO we are proud of what we do. Because you don't make the tastiest cheese alone, we do it together. With our cows, farmers and cheesemakers. Some things have been the same for over 120 years for a reason. And you can taste that in all our cheeses. Nice round story, right?

About us

CONO Cheesemakers is a small leading cooperative of dairy farmers. Our cheese factory is located in the Beemster, North Holland.

Our dairy farmers supply high-quality milk. From it, our cheese makers make the tastiest cheese and distinctive ingredients for the food industry. Some of our milk goes into Ben & Jerry's ice cream, for example. We do this in our sustainable, artisanal way according to unique CONO recipes. CONO works with passion and attention for people, animals and the environment.

We build strong brands. Naturally in our own Beemsterpolder, in the Netherlands and internationally. In this way we ensure a fair milk price for dairy farmers. This allows us to continue to invest in sustainability and animal welfare on the farm, and we continue to innovate in cheese making.

Sustainability

Sustainability is in our genes. It belongs to us. Not only in the CONO cheese factory, but throughout the chain we work with real consideration for people, animals and the environment. From blade of grass to cheese. From livestock farmer to cheese maker.

Our cheese

Our dairy farmers provide high-quality milk. From that pasture-raised milk, our cheese makers make the tastiest cheese and distinctive ingredients for the food industry. We also like to tell consumers the unique CONO story ourselves in, for example, farm stores.
