Grass cheese with Bram's Nature - episode 1

What makes Grass cheese so special? Bram Engberts of Brams Natuur goes to investigate. In a series of short videos he follows the story from the first spring grass to the cheese factory in the Beemster polder where the tastiest Graskaas is made.

After a winter in the barn, the cows are allowed out again. The first bites of fresh, tender spring grass make for something special: grass cheese. Smooth, soft in taste and full of character. A cheese that lets you taste that spring has really begun. At CONO Cheesemakers we believe in the power of craftsmanship, in taking good care of cows and in working together with nature. Grass cheese is a wonderful example of this. For us, this is the time to share the story behind the cheese.

Together we bring farm life to consumers and show how nature, animal welfare and 100% North Holland pasture milk come together in a cheese that celebrates spring. The collaboration with Bram will result in several episodes to take everyone along in the run-up to Graskaas. Together we can tell our story about nature, biodiversity and, of course, our delicious cheese. Something that fits nicely with Bram's mission to make the Netherlands greener. Bram himself also comes from the Beemster and so he can tell you like no other about all the beauty that our polder has to offer.
