'You really do it together'

"I used to cycle daily from De Rijp to school in Purmerend and always passed CONO Kaasmakers. As we say here in the region, 'the CONO'. On weekends I also regularly visited the beautiful old CONO Cheese store with my mother. Back then I didn't know what a beautiful, professional organization was behind that little store and what goes into making and marketing cheese."

"After studying Small Business & Retail management, I first worked in Amsterdam until the position of Junior Account Manager Retail at CONO came along. For a while I was afraid that moving from Amsterdam to the Beemster Polder would make my world small, but nothing could be further from the truth when you get to work for the premium and international A-brand Beemster cheese!"

"In my first role as Junior Account Manager Retail, I supported the (Senior) Account Managers with the full scope 'sales-management' of the Beemster brand at all supermarkets in the Netherlands. Shortly after, I became responsible for a number of my own supermarket organizations. Now, four years later, I have advanced to National Account Manager Retail and may serve one of the largest supermarkets. In my current role as National Account Manager at CONO Kaasmakers, you make annual agreements with retailers about such things as volumes, prices, promotions and other activations. Here 'data-drivenness' is absolutely in our DNA and thorough analyses are indispensable. I find that a super interesting aspect of my work! In short, data helps us make the right commercial choices."

"The fact that my workplace is actually in the Beemster is fantastic and unique. Not a view over a gray industrial area. Our cheese factory and office is in the middle of everything the Beemster stands for: meadows with cows, authentic cheese-cover farmhouses and impressive flora and fauna. Fantastic!"

"Working at CONO is all about cooperation, essential and natural for us as a cooperative. Cooperation within your team but certainly also with other departments and partners. I like the fact that the lines of communication at CONO are very open and that the organizational structure is clear. Most people are very direct, you know what you can expect from each other. That appeals to me a lot. I find the various disciplines and departments very approachable. Open doors and low thresholds' is what I always say. People are always open to good ideas and you are encouraged to develop them. Everyone contributes to our high-quality, traditionally Dutch product. Our Beemster cheese."
