CONO Cheese makers strengthens position with acquisition of Jacques' Herb Butter
CONO Kaasmakers announces the acquisition of Jacques' Kruidenboter BV in Den Helder. With this expansion, the cooperative takes an important step in further strengthening its position within the dairy category.
Jacques' Herb Butter has been a trusted name as a producer of herb butter, white cheese products and meal flavorings for more than 45 years. The company supplies supermarkets, food service and the food industry nationally and internationally, and also incorporates recipes into various house brands. With approximately 30 employees, the factory in Den Helder will continue to operate as it does today, retaining staff and production processes.
Stronger together in quality and craftsmanship
For CONO Kaasmakers, the acquisition fits seamlessly with its long-term vision: to achieve growth while maintaining quality, craftsmanship and sustainable value for dairy farmers, customers, employees and partners. The addition of the butter category is seen as a valuable addition to the existing range of premium cheeses.
Managing Director Jerry Griep:
"Within a challenging market, collaboration is the key to progress. Through this acquisition, we are bringing two strong parties together, combining knowledge and passion - and staying true to who we are."
The move also means continuity and new growth opportunities for Jacques' Herb Butter. The company will continue to operate independently as it already does, with no immediate changes and retaining staff and production processes.
Founder Wim van der Linden:
"After years of dedication, we were looking for a party that understands our values and takes the brand forward with respect. CONO feels like a natural successor. Our people, customers and partners are a good fit."
The coming months will be marked by a careful integration, with respect for both company cultures and an eye for continuity. Thus CONO Kaasmakers and Jacques' Kruidenboter will continue to build a strong and distinctive portfolio together - with an eye for both tradition and innovation.
