Fantastic news: Beemster® cheese has again been voted by consumers as the most sustainable cheese brand in the 2025 Sustainable Brand Index! This is the largest independent survey on sustainability in the Netherlands.

Sustainability is in everything we do. Together with our dairy farmers, we work every day on a future-proof cheese chain:
✔ A fair milk price, so that our dairy farmers can continue to invest in their farms and nature.
✔ Cows in the pasture as much as possible, as long as the weather and nature allow.
✔ Smart energy use in our cheese factory, by reusing heat and using only green electricity.
✔ Less emissions, more biodiversity, by being careful with soil, feed and nature around the farm.

Thanks to this effort, we moved up 9 spots in the rankings and are now number 47. Great recognition for our sustainability program, Caring Dairy, and the passion of our dairy farmers and cheesemakers. Together, positive for future generations.
