Sustainability is something we do together. At CONO, every colleague contributes by making conscious, sustainable choices in their daily work. We bring this process of continuous improvement to life with various working groups that work on projects to find more sustainable solutions. Whether it's small adjustments such as using less paper, driving electric cars and bicycles for commuting, or carefully separating waste - every step counts. Together, we reduce our footprint and contribute to a better world for future generations.

CSR Annual Report
As a cooperative, we want to contribute to a better world. Therefore, every two years we issue a report on our Corporate Social Responsibility.
Satisfied employees
CONO considers it important that its employees remain satisfied and healthy. Therefore, a Periodic Medical Examination (PMO) was conducted at the end of 2023. CONO is "in the green" almost everywhere.
#ikbenCONO
In the #ikbenCONO column, our livestock farmers and employees share their stories of craftsmanship, sustainable choices and their work on the farm or in the cheesemaking process.
At CONO Cheese Makers, we believe that these stories not only inspire and motivate, but also contribute to a transparent and positive future. This is how we show who we are: a cooperative with pride, built on people who work together to make really good cheese.
#IkbenCONO - Together we tell the story of the tastiest cheese.
Bee Ribbon
On the grounds of the CONO Cheese Factory, a beautiful strip of bee ribbon blooms every year. An initiative where we work with our livestock farmers and other partners to make a positive contribution to the habitats of butterflies, bees and other insects.
Coffee mugs
We have not been using disposable cardboard cups at CONO for some time now. To reduce waste, we only use mugs and (tea) glasses. This saves an average of 1,000 cardboard cups every week.
Waste streams
We have seven different waste streams within our company, all of which we dispose of separately. In addition, we separate the waste at the office into four streams. We have contracted with several companies to collect and process this in the most optimal and environmentally friendly way. The goal is to minimize waste and recycle as much waste as possible.
From cow to cheese. In what ways can cheese be sustainably transported to our outlets and ripening houses?
